Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy

Last updated:

This Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy explains what may and may not be listed, promoted, streamed or sold on Dona, the online marketplace and live-video shopping service operated by GreenApps Private Limited ("GreenApps", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered office at 20 Collyer Quay #09-01, Singapore 049319. It applies to every Seller who lists or sells goods, and to everything shown or offered in listings, live streams and other content on the Dona website (https://dona.uz) and mobile apps (application id im.dona.app). Dona is an intermediary marketplace: independent third-party Sellers are responsible for their own products, and Dona is generally not the seller and not a party to the sale contract. This Policy is provided for transparency and to keep the marketplace safe and lawful. It does not override the mandatory rights and obligations that apply under the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which continue to prevail for users in Uzbekistan.

1. Who this Policy applies to

This Policy applies to all Sellers on Dona (individuals and registered businesses) and to all products, listings, images, descriptions, live streams, chat, reviews and other content offered or displayed in connection with a sale.

Buyers are also affected: it explains why certain items are not available on Dona and how to report items that should not be here.

This Policy forms part of, and must be read together with, our Terms & Conditions and Seller Agreement. Where a stricter rule applies under the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan or under another Dona policy, that stricter rule prevails.

2. General rule — what you may sell

You may only list and sell goods that:

  • are lawful to sell, buy, own and deliver in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • you own or are otherwise authorised to sell, and that do not infringe anyone else's rights;
  • are accurately and honestly described, including brand, condition, quantity, materials, origin, price and any restrictions on use;
  • comply with all applicable safety, labelling, certification and consumer-information requirements; and
  • comply with this Policy, our other policies, and the terms of the payment and delivery services used to complete the sale.

If you are not sure whether an item is allowed, do not list it until you have confirmed it is lawful and that you hold any permit or licence required. Listing an item does not guarantee it will remain available: we may remove any listing that we reasonably believe breaks the law or this Policy.

3. Prohibited items — never allowed on Dona

The following categories are prohibited. They may not be listed, advertised, shown in a live stream, or sold on Dona in any form, and links or workarounds that lead to their sale are also prohibited. This list gives examples and is not exhaustive.

Illegal goods and services

Weapons, ammunition and explosives

Drugs, narcotics and precursors

Poisons and hazardous materials

Human and animal parts and protected species

Counterfeit and pirated goods

Stolen goods

Government and official items

Items promoting hate or violence

Adult and sexual content

Unsafe and recalled products

4. Restricted and regulated items — allowed only with the required permits

Some goods are lawful but regulated. They may be listed only where you hold every licence, permit, certificate or authorisation required, only where sale on an online marketplace and by delivery is permitted, and only in full compliance with the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan (including any age verification, labelling and handling rules). We may ask you to provide proof of the required permits before or after a listing goes live, and may block or remove listings until you do.

Alcohol and tobacco

Medicines, medical devices and supplements

Cosmetics

Food and perishables

Financial and gift instruments

Electronics requiring certification

Live animals and plants

5. Seller responsibilities and permits

As a Seller you are solely responsible for ensuring that everything you list, show and sell is lawful and complies with this Policy. In particular you must:

  • verify, before listing, that an item is allowed and that you hold every licence, permit, certificate or age check the law requires;
  • describe items accurately and provide the mandatory consumer information in an appropriate language;
  • keep proof of your right to sell and of any required permits, and provide it to us on request;
  • comply with restricted-item conditions on every channel, including live streams; and
  • immediately remove any listing that becomes prohibited or that you can no longer lawfully offer.

Your obligations here are additional to those in the Seller Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. Breaking this Policy is a breach of the Seller Agreement.

6. Live shopping, streams and user content

The rules in this Policy apply fully to live video, chat, reactions, reviews and any other content, not only to product listings. A prohibited item may not be shown, demonstrated, promoted or offered during a live stream, and restricted items may only be presented where the conditions above are met.

Live streams and user content are subject to moderation and to our Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy and Safety & Harmful Content Policy. We may interrupt or end a stream, remove content, or take action on an account where these rules are broken.

7. Compliance with the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Listings and sales on Dona must comply with the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the laws on electronic commerce, protection of consumers' rights, advertising, and the rules governing restricted and prohibited goods (such as weapons, drugs and precursors, alcohol and tobacco restrictions, medicines, and counterfeit goods).

Where corporate terms specify Singapore governing law, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the Republic of Uzbekistan continue to apply to users in Uzbekistan and prevail. Nothing in this Policy limits any authority's powers or a user's mandatory rights. We cooperate with the competent Uzbek authorities and courts as required by law.

8. Enforcement

Where we reasonably believe a listing, stream, item or account breaks this Policy or the law, we may take any of the following steps, with or without prior notice depending on the seriousness:

  • remove, hide or reject a listing or content;
  • interrupt or terminate a live stream;
  • cancel or block transactions and withhold or reverse related payouts, subject to the Payments & Refunds Policy;
  • limit, suspend or terminate Seller privileges or the account, as set out in the Seller Agreement and Account Management & Deletion Policy; and
  • report the matter to the competent authorities and preserve relevant information where the law requires or permits it.

Serious or repeated breaches, and any content involving minors or clear criminal activity, may lead to immediate removal and reporting. These measures are without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to us or to affected persons.

9. How to report a violating listing or stream

If you believe an item, listing, live stream or piece of content breaks this Policy or the law, please tell us so we can review it. Email hello@dona.uz with a clear subject line (for example "Prohibited item report"), a link to or description of the listing or stream, and any details that help us locate and assess it.

Intellectual-property complaints (counterfeit, pirated or infringing goods) can also be sent to hello@dona.uz; see the Intellectual Property & Infringement Policy for what to include. We review reports and take appropriate action, and may contact you for more information.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services or the risks we manage. The current version is always available in the app and on our website, and takes effect from the date shown above. Where changes are significant, we will give notice by reasonable means, such as in the app or by other appropriate communication. Continuing to use Dona after an update means the updated Policy applies to you.
