How to choose a computer mouse — office, gaming and laptop

A mouse is cheap, but you use it every day. The wrong one hurts the wrist and makes the cursor jump. Dona lists 79 mice: the cheapest is 18,720 UZS, the dearest 547,200. Three concepts explain the difference.

DPI, the sensitivity

The higher the DPI, the further the cursor travels for a small movement. 1,000 to 1,600 DPI is enough for the office. In games 4,000 and above is useful, with a button to switch. Most models on Dona offer 800/1200/1600 DPI modes.

Wired or wireless

Wireless (2.4G or Bluetooth): for a laptop and a clean desk. Modern models have no noticeable lag. The battery lasts three to six months.

Wired: for gaming and any work where latency matters. No battery, never switches off.

Shape and weight

A big hand needs a big mouse. Light models (40 to 60 g) suit gaming, heavier ones (80 to 100 g) the office. If the name states the weight, note it.
